how did you ring in the year 2006?: At the most boring place ever - the Ashbys. And by the looks of it I'll be forced to go there again unless I can find an alternative!!

ALIVE summer camp 2006 - oh yeah

After getting home from one of the best camps ever yesterday (and after having to go to the dentist to let them have a poke around in my mouth - gross on any occasion, but particularly this time seeing as on camps I tend to forget to brush my teeth between the late night eating, early morning eating - actually, constant eating!), I decided that I missed it. A week away is a relatively long time, and seeing as we would get an average of four hours sleep a night - well, we were all pretty worn out. But then I got home and wished I was back! So, as a dedication to the best camp ever, and all the awesome things God got up to in transforming lives and just generally being a pretty awesome guy - I will briefly mention all the best things that happened on camp.
Anything and everything to do with every single person standing here, and all those who had to leave early or anything. It's because of people like these that camps become so awesome. Love to you all!

it's everyone's favourite day!

Report day!

So seeing as I live on the opposite side of the river to my school, I was expecting my report to get here maybe...oh I don't know, next year? But as it turns out, I was wrong!! It came today! Unfortunately I am often one of the 'copy and paste' students - as in, I can predict pretty much exactly what my report will say and what all the marks and VG, Gs etc will be on it. And...turns out I was right. So despite there being no surprises, I am a happy girl, and have kept up my run of alphas from Year One. And even better: I got a personalized comment from the Principal, Mrs. Shepherd, herself!! In her own handwriting!. I nearly fell over from the shock. But then I got over it pretty quickly.

cooking adventures

'I bake!'

Well...not usually but today since it's holidays and there's nothing to do, I decided to practice my cooking skills and have some biscuity type things ready for camp morning tea, afternoon tea and suppers (we eat more on camp than any other time, really!). As well as know I won't poison anyone at Christmas, where I'll be doing all the desserty, coffee-y type things.

So I made Milo biscuits, what were meant to be Smartie drops but ended up just being biscuits with smarties and chocolate stuff in them (pictured above) and Candy Cane biscuits! (Also pictured above - but I have rechristened them holly biscuits).
And here comes the crazy part....

they actually taste good. *shock* I KNOW!

Today - I was on a mission to find shoes and a photoframe. I found a photoframe. Didn't find shoes.

Sure am. I have worn out the ankles though, so really they're only covering my toes and footy top bit.

Not personally - mum and dad do though.

Nup - did on Sunday! That was six days ago! Dammit!

Water. Until now. I just had tea.

1. Overall, have you had a good year?
I would say yes indeed. But then, I've never experienced a bad year. So that makes it extra-special.

2. What has been your biggest achievement?
That's a very interesting question. Cos I honestly could not tell you. I have no idea.

Sure did - took 13 of them in fact. And yes, I passed. But then, pass is a subjective term.

Sure have! Sixteen and enjoying it.

Umm, kind of, but not really. Well...to be honest no. But I will have in 2007.

Yallingup in April for the annual Easter camp *yawn*, Nanga in July for @mpy goodness...Ern Halliday (HA! That is so not a holiday) for Leadership Camp.

Yeah...but then, that depends on how you define expensive. For example, you may say $500 is expensive. I say $40 is expensive. Actually, scratch that. I say $20 is expensive.

Quite a lot. But the best would have to be Material Girls and The Prestige. Kidding about the first one. Not, about the second one.

There've been some great ones. Such as the Year 11 Dance, Rivercruisey... Oh and that random picnic we had at Heathcote. That was great. Oooh and Stomp was awesome.

Hmm...I'm not sure actually. I can think of some not from this year. So we won't say! Can't break the rules!

There wasn't one particular day, but lots of happy goodness experiences. If they were all rolled into one day, that would make for one corker of a day.

Exam returnage day is never fun. The day before Pop's biopsy. The other day with the whole kidney failure. Just great, hey?

I'd say so far, December is good. Holidays make months great =)

November...too much study, not enough no-study.
