some things i have learned...

* don't try to read into everything people say. take lots of things at face level - life is a lot easier then
* if you want people to like you, be happy around them! it makes them appreciate you more than if you are sad around them.
* listen to the guy up the front. he usually has some good things to say.
* reading does not make you a nerd
* popularity is a state of mind (and yes! i came up with that myself!) (and want me to explain? ask away)
* even if something isn't what you expect it to be, stick with it, because eventually you'll get something out of it, even if that something isn't what you were expecting in the first place.
* you don't have to take EVERY opportunity, because you just might wear yourself out
