Happy Birthday Derby =]
So De Grey may be the only house which celebrates some type of birthday thing for their lovely mascot... but it was a pretty rocking party! Happy Birthday Derby (for Thursday)

perseverance
The strangest thing about this whole Christianity thing is actually working out what you're SUPPOSED to do. And the weirdest thing is, once you sift and sort through every last little doctrine and rule and sermon and homily and verse of the Bible and what have you, there really is only one thing you're supposed to do. And that's believe in Jesus. But even that one 'supposed to do' thing is so incredibly difficult.
People pray it all the time. Someone will give a powerful message, invite people to come to Jesus and BAM you have 50 000 lives 'saved'. Saved? I don't know. Maybe those lives have been momentarily dazzled, or indirectly misled or even just confused into thinking this Jesus person is something He's not. Some Saviour (which he is), but one that will leap down from earth and give a reason to random circumstances and magically cure you from cancer and the list goes on.
And even so, the ones who GET IT, the ones who've been living it and knowing it and just going through it or putting up with it or however they're dealing with this information/belief (depending on your choices) still get confused. What are we SUPPOSED to do? Okay, just believing this one person doesn't seem to be enough. Everyone talks about reading your Bible (you SHOULD be reading your Bible everyday) and praying (but even then, is prayer PRAYER or is it some big long wish list you send upwards every night in hope it'll come true?). So are we SUPPOSED to do that too? I think the fact is life's gotten so complicated that the whole perserverance thing is just lost. We try, we don't get, we give up.
And is that okay? Didn't the world teach us that? Well, didn't the world teach us that looking good is all that matters? That if you marry someone but they annoy you, you divorce? That if you fail you are miserable and worthless and to just get out of everyone's way?
So, the world has pretty much messed about with our minds so much that we've lost a clear sense of where this is all going. It's probably come to the point where Jesus is a little cloudy in our understanding of him. Through language and powerful words and the fact that slowly but surely, we're becoming more and more sheep-like, looking for someone to follow, and not think for ourselves. But basically? I reckon it all stems from love. If you love this person you believe in, if you actually, truly love Jesus, the other 'supposed tos' aren't 'supposed tos' anymore. They're just things you do because it gives you a chance to be with this person you love. And I'm not saying I'm any good at this at all. I reckon this is where the hardest part of being a 'Christian', whatever that label actually means, is. That as simple as it sounds it's quite possibly the hardest thing to do. And also provides a lovely grounds for atheists or whatever to say 'why believe in something you can't see?'
Why not?

seventeen!
Although the whole 'feeling older' part of being seventeen hasn't quite kicked in yet, it has been a very awesome birthday. A nice, easy, relaxing birthday!

and

from the parents, which was pretty amazing!

from Jarrad, which was pretty impressive, considering his highly male nature.
And other than the material parts of birthdays, millions of texts/phone calls from people I haven't spoken to in aages which was great! And dinner tonight with the church girlies, sleepyness next week with others, and generally lots of rain which means happy gardens and dams for Perth.
Seventeen is great =]

rant to the max
I'm not a fan of this new-age generation of sad people.
Brad told us last night that it is predicted in about 2020, there will be a phenomenon of world-wide depression, because of this conspicuous consumption era and ridiculous increase in materialism that has led us all to be mass consumers, buying things for the sake of buying, building up more and more mortal treasures which will expire and ultimately do you little good. Ultimately, we've lost sight of who we originally were, what we originally would strive to achieve, the lifestyles we wanted to lead. Now, we focus more on the tangible than the intangible. What kind of grandparents will we be, when now we look at our grandparents who espouse wisdom and practicality, and this generation will be self-focussed, self-obsessed unwise individuals who couldn't for the life of them understand how to put others first and slap on a happy face in order to bring happiness to those around them?
It worried me last night when I saw people showing up tipsy to a place where God is meant to the be focus, and to be honest, he doesn't need the distortion of alcohol to be appealing. If we, as a generation, can't learn from the unconditional love shown to us by our parents and grandparents, and by God, we've created a serious problem for the future. And really, making public your 'sadness' and your 'depression' just creates an identity you don't want. And eventually, one day, you'll look at yourself and realize all the happy things you passed up for the attention of being 'sad'.
We need to grow up a lot before we earn a right to say we are the future and we can change the world for the better. Right now, all we are is the future who are seriously jeopardizing the future psychological state of people.

seven is the magic number
1. The GAT test is an interesting concept. For those of you who have never sat one, you'll never know what you're missing out on!
2. Precisely 12 hours and 10 minutes before the P-Plates are mine!
3. The Russian Revolution consisted of many revolutionaries
4. Organizing secret surprises are fun to the max
5. Headbands often dig into the side bits of your head
6. St. Hildas netball is actually quite depressingly bad
7. Grandparents are home!

A bit of betterness
A bit of disappointment (exam)
A bit of saying the totally wrong and inappropriate thing without meaning to
A bit (or a lot!) of happy downtime
A LOT OF SLACKING OFF

hello June the first
Today I:
* Did one Applic practice exam paper
* Slept in
* Sat around a lot
* Read a book
* Watched some chaser
* Drove to woop woop
* Pretended to do more study
* Ate pizza
Today I wish I'd:
* Studied more
* Done some history notes
* Apologized
Today I found out:
* There is only one week to Sammy's eighteenth
* Twenty days till I turn seventeenth
* I need to learn directions
* Lizzii's Snail in the Bottle video clip is the greatest P&L study method ever
* A messy room is actually kind of annoying (*gasp* did I just admit that???)
* I lost my really really expensive jewelry =[
Today I decided:
* Change is bad (take that 'Storm Warnings'!)
* I need to get around to choosing what I want to apply for at university
* it is time to realize quitting Brumbys might be a good idea
* Media is silly
* Chasers is good
Today is:
* the time to fix things
* the time to get new shoes (well...eventually)
* the time to clean up my room
* the time to get new jeans
* the time to stop procrastinating

exams do not deserve a clap
Chemistry = death in paper form
times ten to the max plus one!
*sigh* But yes, it is all over and we never have to think about it again, until that horrible Monday morning back when they give back the exams with that disappointed look on their face... which is why I'm taking lots of TimTams that day =]
But in other news, 19.5 hours to go and we found microwave spaghetti! So all is wonderful and happy. And I've decided I really really really want to learn how to paint in 3D!
How cool would it be to walk in to someone's room and the walls like jump out at you with a picture of something. I haven't decided what something.
But something 3D.

revealing some cool stuff
I think I found out tonight what it actually means to let God speak through you and not try clog up what he has to say with your own personal judgments and ideas and opinions. It was freaking me out what was coming out of my mouth, because it was nothing like what happens when I talk just myself. It was actually really cool. It's amazing to think that God can use you to not only help someone else through what they're going through, but to knock your head on straight and realize that by stepping back you don't have to have complete control, and you'll do a damn sight better job if you're not in control.
Yup.
Yup.

Pictures of goodness

Passed!

Ridiculously goodlooking lunch (although mine wasn't as good looking as that picture)

Not one, but FOUR long, catchyup phone calls (which meant no study. Wow, I'm so upset.)

New car to be shared with the mother, POTENTIALLY looking like this one. Not entirely sure. But hatchback and silver and Corolla, it'd have to be the same right?

Nutella sandwiches. Best ever.

Look familiar? But so, so easy to do =]

This made me sad. Because last night (whilst procrastinating) I found so many pictures of my Grandma, standing by herself, with all her hair, looking aware and alive and real. I don't even remember her not in a wheelchair or in a hospital bed, or with all her hair. But her eyes were still the same. I can still remember her eyes the last time I saw her. You could see that somewhere under all the medical problems and sedatives and painkillers and fear that she was still the same person as ten, twenty, seventy five years ago. And she didn't ever want to give up. But I suppose we all do sometimes.

stolen!
Kat Bowden lives here, and I'm taking on her idea of recognizing my *insert number here* commandments...
.: Love, don't judge
.: Try to hold back from advice-giving when listening if it's obvious you won't be able to help in that way
.: Live in reality
.: A clean room is an unproductive room
.: Decoration is inspiration
.: Chocolate at any time is good
.: Remember to say 'please' and 'thankyou'
.: Put 100% into what you're doing
.: Friendos come first
.: But study comes first-er
.: Be your best
.: Find small ways to make someone's day better
.: If in disagreeance with something, don't bring it up unless it gets to the point of ridiculousness
.: Happy music & Happy movies
.: Don't wait till a Birthday Card to tell someone how awesome they are
Something I aim to do: Don't try to hold on to the past when it is time to move on. But keep those links!
...But thoughts they change and times they rearrange I don't know who you are anymore...

lit essay update number one
Poetry oh poetry
How writing an essay about you
gives me a headache
Personification and metaphoricisation
Simile, imagery, onomatopoeia-y
Adrienne Rich (a separatist, feminist, lesbianist poetist) **
your poetry does not make me happy
Political commentary
Through personal lifery
Is silly
Poetry, oh poetry
Go away
So we can go and drink mocha
**I am not being derogatory here. It is an actual fact we need to state in our essays. Except we can't add 'ist' to the end of everything. But it might be worth a try? But I just wanted to clear that up. I don't, as a general rule, label everyone.

dragging along
One more day till the longest week in history comes to an end.
I feel much like I've been hit by a truck. Except without the pain and broken limbs and all of that other stuff that comes with being hit by a truck. Just the kind of impact of a really really heavy force. Similar to a truck.
Yes.
Today was kind of a weird one, as far as days go. It was a Thursday masquerading as a Friday in terms of weather, stress level and so forth. Which made it quite depressing knowing that in FACT you STILL had to live through another day before Friday night (the greatest night of the week) arrives and you can just die quietly in the waves of relaxation coming your way. Not that this weekend is going to be all that exciting, just running the usual way plus a few thousand extra hours of study for exams. But I like weekends =]
The parentals bought a new car last night! Hooray!! It means I will officially be able to drive one of the cars in our driveway without failing at hopelessly at working out WHY there needs to be a clutch. It also means the lovely aforementioned parentals pay for car maintenance, as it is technically theirs. =]
Lots of happy friendos of late =]

economy, hey?
So, after today's fun reflection in History-Essay form on the Australian Economy from 1945 to 1990, I got thinking about the whole economy thing.
It's one of those words that you've just got to drop in to a conversation if you're discussing politics and trying to sound like you know what you're talking about. Along with other statements like 'Industrial Reform' and 'Johnnie Howard'. Often, the conversation will go, 'Yeah, Johnnie's doing a pretty alright job of the economy, although that Industrial Reform, with those AWAs and people getting sacked, they're not too great. But then Ruddie doesn't seem to have any better ideas. And he might not know what to do with the economy. But mate, what'd you think of the footy?'
So really, the point I'm trying to make is, an essay on the economy really is quite pointless in the scheme of things, because nobody knows what it ACTUALLY MEANS. IT IS JUST A MYTHICAL WORD PEOPLE USE TO SOUND SMART.
Although I'm sure if I still had Natey's Mac, I could look it up in it's fancy dictionary and give you a definition. But we wouldn't understand it anyway, so we'd just use it the same way we always do. 'Economy's looking great mate, I don't need to vote for noone'. (Double negative intended).
Current addiction: Mocha.

things i can do:
1. Parallel Park (for this moment in time - maybe not in a moment of time in the future, but right now I can)
2. Give really really really good dizzy whizzies to Macy
3. Write lots of lists
4. Make my room comfortably messy
5. Choose the perfect combination of sauces for kebabs
6. Get lots of black electrical cords all tangled together so there's a spaghetti like mixture of cords on my floor which leads to me always plugging in the wrong thing and unplugging something that needs to stay plugged in
7. Spend lots of time playing around with my photos
8. Spend lots on superfluous but very cheap stuff
9. Wear mismatching earrings and get away with it.
10. Lose Blu-Tack
So with all these skills, there is no need to worry about not being able to write a good Lit essay or properly balance a redox equation to use for back titrations calculations, or use the Matrix Inversion Method.
I'm set for life =]

overthinking, that there's just too many scenarios
Relient K gets awfully stuck in your head.
Aside from this pointless point, I decided to make a list of what I am doing as opposed to what I'm actually doing.
What I am doing:
* absolutely, gloriously nothing
* making a list of what I'm doing instead of what I should be doing, which is one of hte things I shouldn't be doing but I am so I won't be doing the stuff Ishould be doing
What I should be doing:
* Chemistry study/revision
* Media folio writeups
* Cleaning my hellish tornado of a bedroom
* Doing my Applic Homework
* Sleeping
So now I've made that fascinatingly informative list, I'm going to go and maybe start on one or two or twelve of these things. Good night all =]
(As a side note, I miss you)

So now I've made that fascinatingly informative list, I'm going to go and maybe start on one or two or twelve of these things. Good night all =]

umpiring!!
I love umpiring, I really do. And I love netball, no matter how many people pay it out for being an over-regulated girls' sport. But I think it is incredibly, incredibly strange when a male is involved in netball, particularly when he umpires. And when he's a better umpire than you, that's just depressing.
Nah, not really =) Chris or whatever his name is was cool. Just very very intimidating in his not-so-manly manliness, seeing as he was manly when he played netball. I find this odd. I'm probably the only one.
Media mark = 7.5 ... can't be upset with that!

inspired

I could name a thousand names of people who've done just this. And I don't think there's any way to fully communicate how much I love and respect them.
Go team =]

the night air breathes, but not so easy as before...
Media is done!
Done, done DONE!
What a lovely feeling. And the advantages of doing something 'symbolic' - it's unbelievable, I tell you. Easier to 'reflect' on, to manipulate, to throw in random things that don't make sense, and say it's all about the audience creating meaning from it...
I've decided the best thing you can ever do is just take things as they come. You don't get disappointed. But it's a lot harder than it sounds to happen.
So aside from all this Confunciousy (or whatever that guy's name was) talk, I went driving again and I am getting there. Slowly. Very, very slowly. But it is happening, and I suppose eventually it'll happen without thinking. Once I master those parallel parks, the world is mine!
And back to work for now.

uthy uth
First time I have been to youth group in I honestly can't remember how long. It was so cruisy. Didn't have to hang out with anyone, could just kind of sit by myself and relax, or go chat and catch up. I miss that. School is just so hectic and intense and overwhelming that to be somewhere where you can just be yourself is so calming. Good old youth. No matter what I say, it'll always be central to my sanity. And more of course.

breakfast goodness
Mmm...bread and butter pudding...
My Grandpa came over tonight, randomly and out of the blue. He seems sad, but he's doing well. He also managed to eat pretty much all the food we had in our 'kitchen' (for want of a better word), as well as helping himself to the pizza we had to go get so we could have dinner! He's a great one. I had the first real conversation I'd had with him for years. And even though he can't hear and doesn't speak English too great, he is still a pretty cool Grandpa.
He does well.

routine goodness
Okay, maybe not so much. Maybe more routine badness. The whole school thing is really starting to wear on me. I'm not entirely sure where I can lay the blame, whether on the fact there are too many assessments that there's no time to actually keep up with work, or the fact that I feel perpetually tired, or the fact that right now I'm a bit sad. But any of the above will do.
In any case, some wedding photos for your enjoyment:

All up, it was a very lovely day =]
So now I am off to learn about Australia's political system and find a way to actually pretend I care about it!! In a totally democratic, freedom for all type way.

Six reasons not to cut the top of your mouth
1. It bleeds.
2. When you drink hot things (e.g. tea) it burns extra muchly
3. When you suck on chocolate, it burns with the excess of sugar
4. You get that disgusting flappy bit of skin that kind of hangs off it in all its grossness.
5. You can't talk properly without your tongue bumping into aforementioned flappy bit of skin.
6. It hurts.
In other riveting news, it is Monday again.
Wedding photos to come - it was very nice =] The speeches...umm... not so much. Remind me to get someone who is actually funny to MC, or will just do it in a really boring cliche way and not embarrass themselves/everyone else. Same goes for speech readers. In fact, I think I'll warn my dad NOW, so he's got quite a few years to prepare an unembarrassing, un-lame, un-awful speech that I won't remember as the most cringe-worthy moment of my life.
But enough on the speeches!
Everyone looked very very pretty. And Andrea looked especially so =] So much happiness in Wanneroo, where you wouldn't think happiness could happen because it is so far away. And because Wanneroo is a weird name for a place. Not that I have a problem with it or anything. It's just...weird.
Okay. I need to stop procrastinating (again).

driving, hey?
Finished week one of school. It was so long. A whole, wait for it, two days before the weekend. And trust me, that was enough. I never really realize how tired you can get from school! No, seriously. I was absolutely exhausted, and I could have sworn I hardly did anything.
Some people on my 'I owe you my life forever' list:
* Mrs Bull - gave me an extension on my media assignment, thank goodness! Otherwise I might've gotten, like, a level one fail. Or something equally humiliating.
* Jessie - for being IN my media assignment. Without this kid, I would've have actually had an assignment to hand in
* Nate - for lending me his Mac & firewire cable, despite me nearly breaking both. If this HADN'T had happened, I would have for certain gotten that 1F we all have nightmares about. Okay, I exaggerate about the nightmares. But not about the 1F. (For the uninitiated to OBE crapola, this means that you fail at getting the basic level, and therefore should give up and bury yourself a hole to live in for the rest of your life).
There are more. But I can't be bothered right now. I am sure I have mentioned it to you if you are on the aforementioned list.
Life has been lovely (if not full of assessments - I kid you not). Sometimes I feel like all the point of Year 12 is to just fill in the spaces between assessments. But you ask anyone, and I'm sure they'd say the same.
This nail polish remover smells like perfume.
To continue on this random rant, my parents had their last parent-teacher interview concerning myself on Thursday. And considering Arts Fest was last term and was relatively all-consuming, my marks stayed happy. Which means I stay happy.
Except for the fact I should be studying for the History Essay/P&L Test/Discrete Assignment (haven't started yet =S)
One more sleep till the big wedding! So much excitement in one weekend, how can I handle it? I know. Homework =[

last day
School is tomorrow.
Life is so unfair.
In other, happier news, the wedding is in exactly four sleeps. Not-so-happy news within this happy news is the fact my bridesmaid's dress is so incredibly small I can't lean over when I wear it. As a matter of fact, I can't breathe when I wear it. So it should make for a fabulous day, anyway, cos the dress is quite pretty. The bride-to-be is also extremely excited, despite her dress (having been made in Newcastle - why? I don't know) and mailed over, being too short and too small. But it all worked out for the best because she hasn't eaten the last two weeks and now fits.
Not that I am condoning not eating. Quite the opposite. I work at a bakery! Amongst other such reasons for supporting eating, which I will not go into at the moment. But when it comes to (very expensive) wedding dresses, it is understandable such lengths must be taken to make sure you haven't thrown your money down the toilet. Although I have spoken to her, and she is planning on stealing all the bread rolls on the bridal table and eating them in the limo on the way to the hotel post-reception. Now, I can fully support that.
I should be doing my media, I should be getting my watch back, I should be cleaning up this tip of a bedroom and I should be putting all my stuff back into my bag ready for schooly-school tomorrow.
But...I think I'll take a break first =]

catching up
So the idea of holidays is kind of the relaxing one. Like take some time off, see some people, sit around all day then think 'what the hell was I doing with myself?' and just generally recharging the batteries.
Well, that's my idea anyway.
It appears not so much with other people, and not so much for this holidays. It has, in fact, been quite the eventful one. Next five days to be quite the eventful ones also. In happy and sad ways.
I miss them school kids. And not in a 'I haven't seen you in forever!' type way, although that is also true. I miss what they used to be like. Or...maybe. I'm not sure. I think it is more of a 'I like the way you used to be, but I can accept who you are now.' Hm.
I miss them church kids (they've all gone on Salty! damn the one year age gap)
I miss the Brumbys kids (although I just saw them, so I don't miss them as much anymore =P but still)
Thank goodness for the people who are your constants and get you through. There's nothing like knowing there'll always be someone around to care about what's going on with you, and can make you laugh. Win at life =]
Have to go get ready for the ball!!!!!!

very (not) excited
So it is the All Saints' Ball on Saturday. And I am so not excited about it! I can't believe it. I thought I would be stoked. But no.
So aside from that, I am again procrastinating. Although to be fair, I have done a lot today. I wrote my entire Lit essay. Note the word 'wrote' not 'edited' or 'finished'. But still! Progress is progress, and five pages of five-syllable words later, I feel quite proud.
To be honest I don't really know why I'm writing all of this here. I think it is because the builders have made me be trapped in my room. Quite seriously. They're knocking down the walls on the side of the stairs. So the stairs are covered in bricks, and there is now nothing to hang on to when you go down the stairs. So I am very stuck at the moment.
Or maybe it is because I am bored. And my house smells.
Yeah. It's probably a mixture of those. Sorry to bore you =]

unbelievable luck
I love holidays. I think we should have them more often. However, I don't love the fact that this year, we don't get real holidays. We just have less pressured time to do our homework. So, to date, I have done half of my chemistry assignment. Which is quite the problematic one, seeing as I have at least two forms of tasks to complete for each subject. And I do seven of them. FOOLZ.
No more complaining.
And Lizzii - you are not huni. It is okay. I'm sorry if you thought you were =[ Huni is a whole different species. I promise you.
Bargain of the week: bought a top that was originally $20. Turned out it was on sale when I went up to pay for it. Then all the sale items were another 25% off! Happy Zyllee =]

ooOOoo
Well Music (not band) Camp meant lots of pretty wineries. Which were very pretty. And winery. But there was a lot of time spent on the bus, and I think I am all bussed out. And now I should be homeworking, but I'm thinking not. Because, well, homework is bad.
I'm going to tell you a joke. Now, it may sound racist, but if it does, YOU ARE MISSING THE WHOLE POINT and I feel very sorry for you. Here it goes, joke courtesy of Catherine Wall aka Cho Chang.
Cat says: Huni and an Asian jump off a cliff. Who wins?
* here I will provide you with thinking space to think about who would win*
*here ends the thinking space*
Society.
LAUGH, oh crazy children! Ahh, the shenanigans...
Anyway, I have been thinking of all those weird things one thinks about when they should be doing homework, but their mind (and computers) distract them. And I was going to explain them, but I have just changed my mind. I think I might go eat some Chinese. Food I mean. Not the people.
Yes.

L-O-V-E
The word love can really freak me out sometimes.
I mean, we use it all the time. Well I know I do. We love chocolate cake, we love ice cream, we love the new kitchen.
We love our friends, we love our family, we love ourselves.
We love that 'one special person'
But how overused is it in that last context? The others I can handle. We overuse it until it loses it's meaning because in those situations, it almost doesn't have a meaning. It doesn't need one because, and especially in the first case, there is no meaning to it. The word gets thrown around easily and noone thinks anything of it.
Then you get situation number two. Again, it doesn't really need to be meant when it's said. It's the word you throw out when you're not really sure how else to sum up everything there is you want to say. Or the way to sign off a thank-you letter to your aunt twice removed. Or maybe just to make that other person feel better about themselves. Or to let them know you care about them, but it's just reinforcing what the already know, so the initial shock of the word, the acting out of love through hugs and willingness to talk and smiles and calling up to hang out doesn't really have it's shine because it doesn't need it. Again, it is almost too overused.
But then there's situation number three. Love. Real, unconditional love. It's here the word freaks me out. When you actually have to mean it. It has so many strong connotations that can be misinterpreted or overanalysed or ignored. And in this case, you can't not mean it. So is it better to just not say it at all? I think the whole idea of 100% sincerity is scary because in this case, you aren't really protected by the meaninglessness of the word.

i disagree

Everyone's just pretending.Anyway, in other unriveting news, our kitchen is STILL uncompleted, we still only have one toilet and one shower and my P&L oral is not finished. Or pretty.
But today, being Harmony Day, means we do not discriminate on the basis of race.
So instead, discriminate on the basis of the colour of your eggs.
Great bus trip.

things to be happy about
So I found this lovely little community on the LiveJournal that I pretty much never use, and I reckon it's pretty cool. And decided I'd do a little plagiarism and write down my five things that made me happy today, although I kinda had to think pretty hard at first to find them.
1) Finding that despite being a pile of rubbish, my old phone still works, so I can still be in contact with the world.
2) Mum bought me a mango frappe from McCafe on the way home from Group Dance in the Roger Goode which has no air con and traps heat like no other building I know. And that frappe was the greatest thing I have ever tasted.
3) Liv and I hijacked Pete's secret supply of Cadbury choc chips at work and ate them.
4) Getting the chance to veg out and watch Devil Wears Prada
5) earning back the money I spent yesterday
This kind of reminds me of that Kat kid's post about the Gratitude Journal - taking a chance everday to realize there's always something to be thankful for!

5) earning back the money I spent yesterday
This kind of reminds me of that Kat kid's post about the Gratitude Journal - taking a chance everday to realize there's always something to be thankful for!

weekend!
My favourite word ever.
An exciting weekend, which has just been kickstarted by two fresh, homegrown cold ripe mangoes. Ooohhhh yeah.
The last time I'd had a mango was when I was in Penang. Penang! That was ages ago!! *sigh*
Bowling tonight, lunch, ice skating and babysitting tomorrow, work, Group Dance and church Sunday! All in all...a busy but unproductive weekend =] my favourite!

she danced the night away!
You forget how much you really love something until you start doing it again!

Like dancing. Or choreography. Being able to create something amazing to a piece of music that stretches you and entertains an audience. It's addictive, I tell you!

today
My dear, dear friends! I love you so much. I do want the very best for you. You make me feel such joy, fill me with such pride. Don't waver. Stay on track, steady in God

one down...
First rehearsal for Group Dance was today.
And yes, I will admit it, I was terrified about how it was going to go. I was dreading it. I was coming up with excuses not to go.
But I went. Twelve to two in the Roger Goode couldn't be that bad right?
Right!!! It went really really well =] Okay so we didn't get mass-loads done, but it's patterned, we have the chorus choreographed, Jess and I have half the dance under control.... *major major sigh of relief*
So I will get no credit for it, but I don't care! De Grey will not be embarrassed, I am sure of it.
I did get a not-so-happy email from someone who was quite upset about not being in it, and I don't blame it. I hate being responsible for making other people sad! But if it is working out well....who am I to complain?
I love this weekend. Greatest weekend on record.
Mmm...pancakes...crave....

this is your life
Yesterday is a wrinkle on your forehead
Yesterday is a promise that you’ve broken
Don’t close your eyes, don’t close your eyes
This is your life and today is all you’ve got now
Yeah, and today is all you’ll ever have
Don’t close your eyes
This is your life, are you who you want to be
This is your life, are you who you want to be
This is your life, is it everything you dreamed that it would be
When the world was younger and you had everything to lose
Yesterday is a kid in the corner
Yesterday is dead and over
This is your life, are you who you want to be?
Yesterday is a promise that you’ve broken
Don’t close your eyes, don’t close your eyes
This is your life and today is all you’ve got now
Yeah, and today is all you’ll ever have

De Grey
Now it's over, it seems quite worth the bad rehearsals, tears, fights and screaming. Awesome fun =]
And so we might not have actually sung this song, but Gascoyne did, and it rocks! Everyone loves a little Whoopi Goldberg...
BALL!
