yumm...cupcakes!

Laney, if by some miracle chance you come across this blog - your party was the best ever =). Had a fantastic time - there was good food, everyone had dressed up in some shape or form, and there were fun people. My personal favourite - Matty Marsh (or however you spell it). When he grows up, he wants to be 'white'. What a star. In any case, great party, great night, great food, great people to celebrate a great person - yay!!

And moving to today...Lizzii and I made the coolest cupcakes that have ever existed! And made a lovely big colourful mess =). I had the job of reading out the instructions. Liz had the job of actually making the cupcakes. I decorated though!

Yes. And now, I am feeling like I should go find my Chemistry assignment. Key word being 'FIND' not to be mistaken with 'DO'.

Step Up

I want this dance. Best movie ever.

Some exciting things about today:

It may be Friday the 13th but I can't think of very many unlucky things that have happened. I don't believe in luck, I don't think.

ANYWAY.

1. I walked on the grass at Kusum's place (or however you spell that crazy woman's name) and it had prickles. And they got stuck on my feet and they HURT!!! So I pulled them out. That is the only unlucky thing I can think of.
2. I saw Jess and Dean and got some great filming in.
3. I came up with a new angle for my documentary
4. Pop made us curried sausages for lunch - yummmm
5. Catty got her Ls - and not just got her Ls but got 100% on her Ls!! Well done you =)
6. It is Laney's 21st party tonight and we bought her a ukelele!

There were more...but they were 'had to be there' type things.

flashbeer

I don't drink beer. But Carlton Draught has the best ads in the entire world. Ever.

In other *exciting* news, we are buying Laney a ukelele for her birthday, which will always rock. As long as noone else thinks of it. And I had my second ever driving lesson today. So you'd think you'd go somewhere relatively quiet and calm, not too much traffic etc. But no. He took me into Fremantle. Yep. The most pedestrian-filled place with road works and crazy cars EVER. So I was scared. But I didn't hit/injure/kill anyone, so it's better than nothing!!

'we were meant to live for so much more'

Ken Headley is dying.

I'm in shock.

This man has been around forever. All my life, I've known Mr. Headley as the wise Headmaster who always said hello to me and had the greatest dry humour I've ever heard. I'm going to miss him a lot. Cancer really sucks, hey?
Thinking of you, Mr. Headley.

Happy 222nd post!

Call me strange, but I liked this film. People say it has no storyline, which is semi true, but it doesn't need one. Some quality stuff - exploring death, ends etc. But Lindsay Lohan still drives me insane.

I saw this, went to Timezone, bought a skirt, walked around, slacked off, met the kebab man and exercised more than I thought possible in an hour.

...I miss you more than words describe and nothing can take us back to what it was...

Jelly Bellys are the best

I realized none of my posts have been titled with a J. So thought I'd mention Jelly Bellys.

So:

1. I went to Adventure World and it was good =)
2. I went driving properly on main roads. And it was scary. But it felt okay after a while.
3. My toe started bleeding again and that stung, and turned my sock red.
4. I had pizza for dinner and that was great.
5. Lisa didn't get kicked off Idol and that made me sad =(
6. My mum is going kitchen stuff shopping tomorrow and that is the most boring thing I can possibly think of.
7. Gary has given me some stuff to think about, and that is crowding my brain.
8. I have realized how self-centred I have become, and this is bad!
9. I have an interview at Prouds and this will hopefully mean a new job.
10. Catty has the cutest nephew alive, and that's saying something.

anonymous, aye?

I had a person comment ANONYMOUSLY on some post I did about five thousand years ago...just makes me wonder, how many people read this thing? If you do, leave a comment so I know!! I don't care anyway, just would be interesting - and I do have the anonymous comments for some unknown and unfixable reason, so if you MUST leave yourself hidden, but it'd be great if you showed yourself!

In other news, I invited myself to a random get together and scraped off the top of my toe and bled all over the lovely limestone driveway.

So that was fun.

Cool house though!!

now it's over

It's strange that no matter how well you prepare yourself for a situation, no matter how many times you visualize it out and try to convince yourself that it doesn't hurt, when it finally comes you just kind of fall apart?

Basketball!!

I am so proud of little Kelly!

(she isn't very little though)

Look at her name on http://www.basketball.net.au/fs_newsitem.asp?id=67043&orgID=1&Oname=BA&O1c=8&O10c=3

(The linking thing won't work)

Well done Willetton *nod*
Don't you just love finding out who your real friends are?

oh yeah!!

and I COMPLETELY forgot to mention my complete and utter disappointment at not winning one of the huge toys that everyone was carrying around. (at the show)

*tear*

and a good weekend was had by all

Friday Night: Movie!! Walk to Remember!! Fun :). Battle Royale. Not so fun.

Saturday: Slept in for the first time in forever, then watched a great Grand Final. Nice work Eagles. Too bad Swans. I miss football already. Night, went to Boy from Oz - BEST EVER!!! Hugh Jackman is a star and he is sooo incredibly good. I loved it. I want to see it again.

Sunday: Worked the biiiiiiiig shift. Then Brooke and I went walking for about two hours in three different suburbs (knackering stuff), then watched Sister Act II. Fun times :)

Monday: Worked AGAIN (but then again, it was a public holiday, so that means time and a half for meeeeeee!) then had a kebab for lunch, bit more walking, and Royal Show'd it. It was okay. Bit of a rip off. But still fun.

So yes. That is the end of this boring post.

nearly time

Nearly end of Term Three.
Nearly time to start having to do the things I've been saying I will for a very long time.
Nearly time to un-sunburn myself.
Nearly time to start accepting that it is IN THE PAST.
Nearly time for mum to start renovating the kitchen and getting excited about dishwashers. I'm sorry, but I cannot whip up enthusiasm for such things.
Nearly time to have to wear sunscreen everytime I look out the window.
Nearly time to go out and buy some new clothes and throw out the piles of rubbish in my wardrobe.
Nearly time to dust my room, seeing as now everything's got a lovely layer of grey fluff on top of it. No wonder I have a permanent blocked nose.
Nearly time to actually start saving money instead of spending.
Nearly time to try green tea.
Nearly time to buy new socks. All of mine have holes. Big holes. That get my toes stuck. That is very painful.
Nearly time to start practicing the piano again.
Nearly time to print photos and buy frames.
Nearly time to make some decisions re: Friday nights.
Nearly time to pretend to start studying for exams.
Nearly time to start learning to write neatly.
Nearly time to find a new favourite song.
Nearly time to cut my stupid hair.
Nearly time to read the newspaper so I can sound smart for P&L.
Nearly time to decide to drop a subject.
Nearly time to stop giving up.

The end!!

tired, sunburnt, headachey - time for a survey!!

So far 2006...

Have you had more than 5 different serious relationships?
bahaha no!!

2. Have you had your birthday?
Yep :)

3. Been to church?
Sure have - it's a regular type thing. Kind of not going as much lately though.

4. Cried yet?
Yeeeahhh....I had a conversation with someone where we decided it is practically compulsory to cry at least once every three or so months

6. Pulled an all nighter?
Sure - but they aren't fun the next day

7. Drank Starbucks?
No but I wish I had.

8. Went shopping?
Hahaha! What kind of a question is this???? Unless you live in nowhere land, there is NO POSSIBLE WAY of not going shopping.

9. Been camping
In a very loose sense of the word.

10. Been to the beach?
Yeah! Bit sandy but.

11. Bought something for over $200?
Yeah - well I didn't buy it, but it was my dance dress, so indirectly I own something that was bought for over $200.

12. Met someone?
I think this quiz is saying that in the sense of 'meet someone and fell madly in love' so no, but I've met a lot of new people.

13. Been out of state?
Hmm...no actually I haven't!! This is rare for my family.

14. Gone Skiiing?

7. Gotten a car?
Not my OWN - mum bought one. No I take that back - she bought that in DECEMBER last year. Forgive me, oh disillusioned readers!

8. Gone over your cell phone bill?
No, I'm the good one, but mum tries to blame the high phone bill on me. It's all her of course - she doesn't understand cap plans. Don't tell her I said that.

9. Been called a whale?
Not to my face. I wouldn't be surprised if it was said behind my back. Because I really am. A whale that is.

10. Drove somewhere?
OOhhh I drive through the Murdoch Uni campus! And I'm getting quite good if I do say so myself. Which I don't, because I can't break without giving everyone whiplash.

11. Done something you regret?
I think yes, but they were only little minor things. Which I have forgotten now. So it's okay. No regrets!

Lasts
Last Thing you bought?
Two movie tickets, a tub of fried rice, prawn crackers and two ice creams. They were ALL FOR ME. It's true. This is why people call me a whale.

Hahahhaa!! Kidding!! they weren't all for me! They were for my imaginary friend Catchiwald.

Last Person you hugged?
Jessie!!

Last Person to call you?
Ummm....I do not know. Calling does not very often happen. It is more like texting.

Last time you took a shower?
Last night. Soon to be in about five minutes.

When was the last time you felt stupid?
Oooo quite often, but the WORST was at Harbour's birthday party. I was so superbly embarrassed.

Who was the last person you danced with?
I don't know, probably myself - it's easier to dance by yourself. Otherwise you stand on people's feet.

Who did you last yell at?
Jarrad. He told me off for not setting the table when I was upstairs. And he was in the kitchen.

What did you do today?
Walked to Chidley, ate St. Hildas doughnuts, got sunburnt, walked back. Good times for all!

some things i do bad:

* Impulse buy

* Get distracted

* Not think before I speak

* Yell at my inquiry project

* Fly

* Get a headache from headbands

THE END!!!!!!!!!!

=) =)

Season finished

It's all over. I can't say I wasn't expecting it though - it was a relatively good game all up, and that's what I personally was hoping for. Check out a match report from Dockerland.com here (completely unbiased and beautifully written). At least Uncle Col will be happy. (I can't seem to help calling Colin Uncle Col - no blood relation whatsoever, but I think it's so ingrained in the Mt. Pleasant people who've been here since whenever he first came that we can't forget it).

In other completely unriveting news, this is a weekend full of Inquiry Projects, Lit poetry preparation, Intro Calc notes and History notes. Oh, for the holidays. But on the bright side of things, that is only a week away!

Some surprise changes on the youth side of things, but who can't expect that I suppose? I had to reapply to City Beach because they pay you well to stand around and look stupid. I am sick of people pretending to support certain things they used to hate with a passion (a passion they made very vocal).

I have to continue researching the relationship between marijuana and crime. I hope you (that 'you' applies to whoever is reading this waste of time) get to research something more exciting. Or better yet, not research at all!

history is sad

We went on a History excursion today to the Perth Holocaust Institute. Sad, but pretty similar stuff to what we'd been learning in class. But then they had a lady come in, Rosa something something, who had lived through the war. Now, I'd just assumed she was someone who'd lived through it as a commoner, life relatively easy, she was unaffected, maybe an Australian or something who had a basic idea of what happened. However, it turned out she had been a Polish Jew who escaped persecution, hid throughout the years of war from the S.S. Soldiers and finally was liberated, and came to Perth in 1948, marrying an Auschwitz survivor. Fascinating hey? Some people are pretty awesome.

So that was exciting. Well, fascinating really, the stuff she went through.

Music for all Tastes, the most pointless Concert in the whole world is tonight. LAME. In other news, I'm procrastinating, bored, and wasting a lot of time.

OOH! Freo play their final on Friday night :) YAY!

Monday, September 18, 2006

current...

Reason to Smile: Doner kebabs for dinner =) and Freo are still in the finals!

Annoyance: Inquiry Project that just won't get itself done

-ly Dread: IGSSA Aths Carnival tomorrow - cheerleading - lame!!

Excitedness: Andrea got engaged! She's getting married next May!! She's moving back to Perth!! I get to be bridesmaid and design my dress!!

Fear: My toes will fall off

Confusing moment: The difference between Bronsted-Lowry and Arrhenius Theories

Decision: I need to go shopping and I need to clean my room

Noise: Radio downstairs, phone downstairs, my phone upstairs and The Fray

-ly Watching: the words on this screen and the tee-veeee

-ly Avoiding: Homework, carrots

-ly Going: To get the aforementioned doner kebab!

footy maaate

I'm going to do this chronologically. Starting with last night (Friday 15th September).

For those of you that either live under a rock or aren't from Australia, the biggest AFL game EVER in Fremantle F.C. history took place last night at Subiaco Oval between the Dockers and the Melbourne Demons. It was their second final in the 2006 season, and only their third ever final in a twelve-season lifetime. They'd lost their last two, the only two they'd been in. This game, starting at 6:30pm on a perfect Friday night, was their chance to get another shot at making it to the game of all games in Australian life. Okay, so it's highly unlikely they'll make it that far, BUT WHO CARES. Freo won last night 102 to 74. Oooooh yeah.

Check out here for the run through. But the saddest thing? I think there were a total of about fifteen Melbourne supporters that bothered to rock up and support their team. But suckers! They still lost!!!
Next Freo game next Friday night at Telstra Stadium against Sydney. Should be some quality TV.

But to move on. Today was the epic day in history that theoretically marked the U/13s Winnacott Tigers grand final victory. I say 'theoretically' because in fact, they lost. Dad was devastated. Jarrad was devastated. The whole team was devastated. After an entire season on top of the ladder, losing only twice, and beating the only team they'd lost to (twice) in the first semi, they went down to the team with the evil-est (neologism!) coach in the whole world, East Fremantle. LAME. So that was very disappointing. But they got their medal, and dad is determined to coach next year completely by himself and kick butt. And have his voice back, and a decent team.

gotta love dockerland.com

Great site. Check out the completely unbiased and very creative article written about the most devastating final in Freo's history here

(Okay, so it was only their second)

nananananananana water!

So now APPARENTLY you're supposed to drink 35 mL of water for every kilo of bodyweight. I have no idea how accurate this is, but it roughly equates to about 2L. So I've decided to be super healthy and drink 4 x 600mL bottles of water a day.

I wish health people would make up their minds what is good for you, and how to work it out. Crazy!

And in other news, mum saw a documentary on TV last night about 9/11. Weird as it is, it's arguing that in fact the entire event was orchestrated by America and that Osama bin Laden 'does not exist' (not literally, but as in he is someone created by America so they could start a war and pick up the economy). Now I'm sorry, but I can't get my head around the fact that an arguably civilized country would willingly blow up 3000 of their own people to rake in a bit more cash. I'll admit there is a lot of crazy stuff surrounding the whole event, but why has it taken five years? In any case, check out a site talking about it here

And another question - why was it shown at 10pm on Channel Ten on a Saturday night? I think I'm going to watch it to see how credible it actually is, but makes for some interesting ideas.

moving on...

So, now that that, the most depressing football game in the history of the world, is working its out of my system, let us move on.

Last night consisted of :

Good times. Choreography night = great. Miss Winthrop lots - can't help thinking sometimes if I should've stayed? But then again, I'm also extremely glad I didn't.

nothing to say

I hate football.

current nerve-wracking events...

* Officials speeches to Houses tomorrow. Quite possibly one of the scariest things I've ever done because I'm doing it for something I actually really want.

* Pop having a computer. I'm still terrified he'll manage to break the internet the way he's going. But he's doing well with his pointing device =)

* Out of emergency apparently, but still not looking flash.

* Wet hair.

* I.C. EPW marks - we won't get them until Friday but I seriously think that a) I am lucky to pass and b) it is a damn good thing I'm taking up discrete next year and c) it will be the worst mark I will get this year.

* Chem test being moved to week nine as opposed to week ten. Out of the eleven sections we need to know, we have covered three. ARGH!!

* Officials speeches!!!!!!!!

But there are some great events too:

* Suddenly 30. Yep. Best movie. In a special kind of way.

* Invite to Harbour's seventeenth! I can't believe she's turning seventeen!!

* Post card from Kattyo!! I think you are a rocking child and that even if we only get to see each other once a month (if that) those once-a-month moments rock! (I used rock twice in one sentence! I win!) And thanks for the spunky Adelaide card. I wish I could go somewhere as interesting as that. *nods ferociously*

* The bus. A conversation I could actually sound smart in today.

* I.C. I got two things right in one lesson. Yess!!

Sunday, September 03, 2006

this past week...

has consisted of...

* IGSSA Dance on Thursday - awesome stuff. PLC again was the best, but they do too many rehearsals. Worst was the Nike dance - *ugh* dances with a political message are NOT good. Ever. But we rocked as always, although the tapping could have done with a bit more practice =)

* Babysitting on Friday night. Basically I sat at home and put a movie on for them. And got paid for it. Great =)

* Ben and Sarah getting engaged. But get this. They aren't ACTUALLY getting married until 2008. However, that is still exciting and cool and many many congratulations. Also, this means an engagement party which means Zyllee can wear her dress!!!

* Freo annihilates Port Adelaide at home in a fantastic 150th game for Pavlich who kicked five goals and 100th game with Freo for Farmer, who kicked six goals. Now are definitely third, playing Adelaide at AAMI Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Pumped!!!!!!

* Fun visit to emergency. If by fun we mean horrible and nasty and never want it to happen again.

* Having a good laugh at pop and him with his computer. He thought that when he typed in his password and it came up ******** that it meant it was rejecting it. awwwwwwww =)

year 12!

I have become one of those crazy chickens doing seven TEE subjects in year twelve. I've decided to take up Discrete Maths along with keeping all my other subjects - Mrs. Runnalls basically said that everyone in the current I.C. class I'm in should be able to get an A in Applic if they just do the work, but doing Discrete is a very very good idea too.

Speaking of I.C. we had a Scotch I.C. teacher behind us on the bus today.

Longest and best bus ride ever =) loving it!

freo's new logo

Mum just sent this to me. How good is it???
Some clever bunnies out there!

but when i look at the stars i see someone else

slightly out of the ordinary:

* Penrhos's curtain in the Performing Arts thingo caught fire. So we couldn't rehearse for IGSSA dance. How funny is that?!?!

* Lit essay got moved to tomorrow...now I can do it on symbols which is easy because you say they're all phallic symbols and you're set!!

* I have silver eyeshadow. I think it makes for an everyday type look.

* Bowling for Columbine is some awesome stuff. Finally getting to watch it in Media. I believe this documentary is where I want to go.

* Switchfoot's new music is rather good - I'm thinking I'll have to buy the CD.

Yes. Tomorrow shall be a happy day =)

some imaginary letters

I am in an imaginary letter writing mood. Let us (hehe lettuce) start...

Dear Mid-Term Break

Thank you for finally coming now so I can catch up on my assignments and not fail life. You're a real champ. Have you ever considered coming more often? Keep it in mind.

Love,
Zyllee

Dear Mouse

I'm sorry I've spent all these years calling you a mouse and not your real name: pointing device. My apology is deeply felt. But I feel we have a good relationship going on with the 'mouse' name, so I just don't have it in me to change it. I hope you can accept this. And please don't give me any serious ergenometric problems.

Love,
Zyllee

Dear Paint

Thank you for being able to produce really really uber good pictures. That one you were able to be available for Cat to draw was simply superb. Keep up the arty goodness.

Love,
Zyllee

Dear P&L

Die in a hole. Or get more interesting.

Love,
Zyllee

Dear Media

Let's not even pretend we're friends. Just let me do my production task by myself and leave me alone.

Love,
Zyllee

Dear Really Big Whole School Photo

You're incredibly big, but you're also really expensive. Please magically decrease in price so I have a good reason to keep you.

Love,
Zyllee

Dear Lightglobe

Please stop cutting out. It's really making my life difficult. Have you ever considered continual glowing? Keep it in mind.

Love,
Zyllee

Dear Subiaco Oval,

Please can you always have the wind going against the Eagles on Sunday? And make your grass really slippery whenever they go up for a mark? And remember that Freo are your Friends? Thanks heaps.

Love,
Zyllee

Dear Suddenly 30,

I'm sorry we didn't watch you today. I wish we had. But dinner and football coaching and Paint were put first. Don't you worry, you will be watched soon.

Love,
Zyllee

Dear Weekend,

Please squash fifteen more hours into each day. I'll give you chocolate!

Love,
Zyllee

Dear Chocolate,

Stop calling me.

Love,
Zyllee

coolest shirt ever!

I had to think about it for a while...

Adrenalin and other exciting things

Hmmm...some catching up:
Adrenalin on Friday night. Awesome stuff. Kind of a repeat of last year, but still very awesome.
Guy Sebastian did a rocking job - I was kind of over him after Idol, but he was pretty awesome live. And it was good to hear him talk about his Christian side of life.
Scary moshing people were scary though, but that was quickly handled!
EDIT: Linking and crediting of these pictures - both from http://youthalive.com.au --> here

Worked on Saturday - the close shift is SOO easy! I'd forgotten how good it is. And all the stuff you could eat if you weren't on the 40 hour famine.

IGSSA Dance on Sunday - the choreography is kind of strange, but overall the dance is really really good. I'm still adjusting to the kick routines: I have this really short girl on one side so it makes me lopsided and off balance trying to dance...so i don't =].

Sick of people being immature and depressed a lot. Media assignment is finished!

strawberry jam

It was my first fitness class today - Body Jam:

Lame name, heaps of fun. Basically one big dance class without stopping for an hour - sounds bad but it was sooooo good.
Dance puppy dance!

And after all that food I ate after school (basically the equivalent of what a small third world country would get in a year) - it's definitely a good thing!

Catty I'm copying you here - you also are my highlight of the day between 1530 and 1610 or whenever I happen to leave the bus. Keep on highlighting!

* I heard from a certain Adam yesterday. It had been a while. But nonetheless okay.
* Andrea called today! I LOVE Andrea! Best cousin ever. Can't wait till she gets back over here.
* Brooke - biggest legend ever. I can still remember the time I went up and asked if she wanted to play with us in year one. She said no. But it all worked out for the best.

And today, I bought not one but two dresses.

Impressive hey!

i like:

* dressing up
* going out
* birthday parties
* seeing people open presents
* watching happy movies
* laughing
* sleeping
* seeing people i haven't seen in a long time

I wish:
* things hadn't happened
* people hadn't been silly
* cancer didn't exist
* people let things go
* I could find a dress!

smiling happy people

Today was one of those days where everything bad like the war in Lebanon and other similar personal tragedies kind of take a backseat, and you sit in your classes and think happy thoughts and laugh at happy, funny people, and sit outside at lunch and enjoy the happiness of the happy weather and the sun and not wearing an itchy jumper.

It was a happy day.

I'll go through it, so that you too can enjoy it's happiness. *happy smile*
Happy event number one: I surprised Catty with a cake.
Happy event number two: We invented the new game, Birthday Bulimia Surprise.
Happy event number three: It was warm and happy outside.
Happy event number four: Through a series of not so happy events, we ended up only doing fifteen minutes of Lit. Which itself was a happy event, cos I got to sit by the window.
Happy event number five: At recess we all pretended to be stressed about an I.C. test, but it was just too hard, because outside it was so happy!
Happy event number six: The I.C. test wasn't that hard!
Happy event number seven: Rachel Khoo, Laura, Rachel Tucker and I won the Jesus quiz in RAPS. Awesome prizeage.
Happy event number eight: Lunch was fun, and warm, and happy, and good.
Happy event number nine: The Chemistry marks got changed, because they added it up wrong, so my mark went up four percent! Yes!!!!
Happy event number ten: P&L was good because the door to the balcony was open and the niceness of outside came inside. And we didn't do anything in the last fifteen minutes of class.
Happy event number eleven: The bus home was happy, and funny, and nice.
Happy event number twelve: Nate is happy =)

Stalker guy isn't talking to me! YESSS!!!!

*happiness*

relient k

Yeah, being apathetic's a pathetic way to be.
But I don't care, what matters to you does not matter to me.
Cause I don't care.

They really know what they're talking about hey!

That the end will be the end of things
And our hearts are all we'll get to bring
So let's go ahead and make them worth something.

*sighs*

Tuesday, August 01, 2006

oohh really??!!

* Professional photos do not match up to do-it-yourself, crappy-ditigal-camera shots, but some can work out nicely!

* Media can be fun if you don't have to listen to your teacher talk.

* Interviews on the chapel can contain interesting content.

* My shoes smell bad.

* I left my P.E. bag at school, so that also will be smelling bad.

* Fitness is extremely tiring.

* You should apologize to your uniform for not showing it respect.

* The 'sing-along' books from primary school hold some true, lifetime classics: Magalena Hagalena, The Underwear Song, Circle of Friends...

* Chocolate is bad.

* Thou shalt study to not fail life.

mondayitis

* Adrian Rowse spoke at church last night. He's a pretty awesome guy. I liked what he had to say, even if not all of it applied literally to me. Time to take up the dare, but I'm a little scared. In any case, his CD is pretty good, very relaxing stuff!

* Kinda over people talking about alcohol, and how drunk they got, and how many guys they hooked up with, and how they're just so cool for doing that. Well, that came out a bit harsh, but I'm sick of it. Mondayitis I believe!

* I really really hate tea, but I keep drinking it. I think there might be something wrong with me! = /

* Corn Thins taste like cardboard until you put Vegemite on them.

* Our paper towel has recipes on it.

That is all. =)

Oh! And I got stuck on a curb yesterday. Funny times.

fake tan liek whoa!!1!

I am: not a witch's hat
I want: fake tan so I can be just like everyone else!
I have: to spend like ALL my money on making myself look, like, totally awesome with fake tan
I wish: I could have fake tan like you
I hate: being pasty and not having my superhot fake tan
I fear: my fake tan going streaky.
I hear: that fake tans are, like, the best thing ever.
I search: for the best looking fake tan in the WORLD.
I wonder: if I should go for really dark fake tan or really really dark fake tan.
I regret: not fake tanning at a younger age. Oh the pastiness!
I love: do-it-yourself fake tan. Streaky goodness.
I am not: naturally tanned.
I dance: only when I'm fake tanned.
I sing: 'fake tan, baby fake tan spend the night with me'
I cry: when my fake tan turns purple.
I am not always: fake tanned. Sometimes I'm super fake tanned.
I write: that fake tan liek rocks whoa!!1!
I win: with my super hot fake tan.
I lose: nothing. I'm fake tanned. Duh.
I confuse: solariums with fake tan.
I need: to be chocolate brown cherry dark fake tanned.
I should: go buy a bottle of fake tan.

As mentioned in my previous post daahhh-lings, it is the Year Eleven dance tomorrow night.
An exciting event.

You get dressed up, your friends get dressed up, you wear things that you may usually not wear.
You must look your ABSOLUTE best.
This is one of the rules.

Included under 'looking your absolute best':
* Makeup
* Fancy Hair
* Lovely dress/suit depending
* Fancy shoes
And the ultimate:

Fake tan.

Don't leave home without it.

23. I really want...to smell like fruit. I don't really, but the ad on TV is basically saying that I want my hair to smell like fruit, so I thought I'd go along with that. What I really want? WORLD PEACE!!

sing it back wa-oohh

Despite having bagged out a lot of Hillsong music lately being completely sick of it, I have had a very Hillsong-y afternoon.

And it is making me happy.

Pop had another check up today.
They found a small cancer again *sigh*

So back to hospital for him on Monday.

I have learnt how to heart the world on the myspace cult. Beware my conquering love!

'It's the Bible. You get credit for trying.'

encounter 2006

* @mp Camp Nanga Bush Camp 2006: Best campsite ever. I don't think you can top it. Smoky fires, curtains for doors, thin mattresses, cold cold cold weather - I love it.
* Op Shop Ball: Hours of fun. I wore my beautiful *ahem* dress, the guys brushed up in their pricey suits (the most expensive one I heard was $8 - pushing it!), we had great music - Summer of '69, Grease Medley, YMCA, etc. A great walkoff and extra entertainment from the Bint boys. Awesome dancing. Disgusting soup. I love it. The leaders dance-off was pretty awesome as well - Simon Bint wins there too.
* Food: It varied. There was good food - like the custard and the constant access to Milo/coffee/tea. There was bad food - cold toast, bad bread, rank soup - but hey, lollies fill you up unbelievably. I've got to say I am quite a fan of morning/afternoon teas and supper - mmmm, biscuits.
* Services: I loved these. I guess, after seven @mp camps and a handful of Serpentine camps, I've got the usual camp series down pat, no matter how it's disguised. But doing the series about the Holy Spirit was really awesome - it's like for me, I finally got something I'd needed for a long time. It was pretty advanced stuff, I'd like to know how some of the younger kids dealt with it, but I know for me it really meant something.
* Music: Who DIDN'T love the new song? Can't remember what it's called, which sucks because I really want to download it - 'Today today, it's all or nothing, all the way, the praise goes out to you...' - awesome stuff. Ten songs last night - that was pretty intense, my legs kinda hurt from all the jumping, but everyone got over that, because it was awesomely done. I don't think I've enjoyed the music at camp so much. The camp song was awesome as well..
We look to you and encounter
Life love and power to save
All will praise the whole world over
I love it. Original is always best. The lights kind of annoyed me - Brodie Lewis and his stupid controllers I tell you *slap* hehe just kidding. By annoying lights, I mean the little swivel ones, not the usual ones we have. The whole stage set up was amazing - although the projector was precariously hung on a crate which worried me one broken rope and the whole thing would come crashing down. But combine it all, and you ended up with some awesome presentations.
* Capture the Flag: I actually tried at this game! Well, round one anyway. Good times, good times - and Gig won that one, I helped with the fire so I figure I had an important hand in there (just kidding). Was very entertaining watching Fieldy go sprinting through the bush with the flag shoved down his pants (rules are, no concealing the flag - but it's a fair hike between Timbara, our campsite, and Currawong, the campsite our flag was at, so I figure some cheating is unavoidable) . Second round Live won, but I heard Caleb nicely punched up my brother, so I find that kind of funny. By nicely, I mean he didn't bleed to death or anything.
* Presidents and Scumbags: Also known as Pensioners and Sluts, revised to Pensioners and Stoners, re revised to Prostitutes and Sluts, quickly re re revised back to Pensioners and Stoners. My new card game, not too many rules so I could handle it - but I ended up relying on Scotty to take my hand and win it for me. Which he managed. I never really understood the strategy you were supposed to follow, but I guess that's the way card games go. After two thousand hands of the game, after which Kane took off because he lost (bahaha), so I convinced everyone to play Cheat. I lost that too. I get a bit too enthusiastic.
* Jamo: He danced! Hehe - 'You can look at mine' - legeeeeennnddd....
* Poker: Okay, so I still can't play the stupid game. But it was entertaining watching everyone else. I mean *cough* we don't gamble on camp.... *whistles innocently*
* Activities: So according to these activities, we would be able to restore environmental happiness, resolve a traffic jam, make a human ladder to the man (or cross country in the guys' case) and save ourselves from electrocution by the evil chicken fence. Shell and I got over the initial thrill (of which there was none) pretty fast, so we moved on to bigger and better things - like cleaning up Currawong. Until we protested and went back to Timbara. But I have to admit, I quite enjoyed the human ladder.
* Extreme Mountain Biking: Sammy and I both avoided it - she because she's asthmatic, me because I had glandular fever, so we skipped extreme mountain bike riding for extreme hot milo and conversation over the fire. Fun times, I love that girl. Laura went and showed off, doing wheelies and all, so she fell off and scraped up pretty impressively (kidding about the wheelies, not kidding about the crazy injury)
* Cathy and Andy: Uncle Col's neice (so she can really call him Uncle Col!) and Andy both helped out at the Gig/a few of live campsite, and Cathy is actually the coolest person alive. I wish she wasn't from Melbourne so she could always be around. An awesome leader, and always open for talking.
* Fireman's Pole: I conquered my fear. I braved the dangerous heights. I used the fireman's pole numerous times. Not quite as impressively as Shanon and Kane, but I think I did a pretty good job. I managed to bruise myself up alright though. Ouch.
* Baptism: Was awesome stuff. I love hearing other people's testimonies, and Steph and Phoebe did an awesome job. Go girls - I have respect for people voluntarily entering that freezing water.

Yeah I can't be bothered with anything else. But @mp camp encounter 2006 was awesome - come to the next one slackers!!

A quick shoutout to those I missed:

* Lauren!
* Kate!
* Emma!
* Jordan! (left early)
* Stevo! (left early)
* Kat! (she was there but hid on another campsite - it must've been the smell...)
* Caitlin! (her name was on the dorm list, but she never showed...)
* Hatti!! Laney did a great job as a leader, but I definitely missed Hatti a huuuuge amount
* Harbour!! But she was working at the church making herself a bit of cashola so I guess that's pretty worth it.

Yeah there were more, but MY REPORT IS SITTING ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER!

ARRRRGGGH!!!

And then I would tell you not the weekend just past but the one before, on my black skirt. I have found officially the ugliest dress ever in history.

Seriously.

It is the most horrible thing I think I've ever laid eyes on.

Well I may be being a little harsh to the poor thing. It's actually not that bad, the actually dress part is nice, but the sleeves just take it to a whole new level of horrendous.
The sad thing?

That dress is hanging in my wardrobe.
It's okay though! It's for the 'Op Shop Ball' and yes, it was from an op shop. So it's ALL GOOD, I won't be wearing it publically until bat-sleeves make a comeback. Which I pray will be never.

In any case, about to go and have my first ever driving lesson. I don't have my Ls yet so *shhh* but I am TERRIFIED. Hopefully noone else will be there, otherwise it'll just be embarrassing *hides*.

Wish me luck!

one week

Jessie's was uber good fun - DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION. I want to buy one now.
Hatti's also was uber good fun - in a totally different, more bogan clothes, same italian food type way. Some great times.

some great things about this coming week...

.: Only one assessment! And it's a Lit Oral so I can make it up on the spot
.: Last week of school, so all that kind of 'we can't be bothered' last week of school type stuff - although on the downside it's year eleven so that kind of thing may no longer exist
.: Emma's wikkid bad surprise eighteenth! And it's super dressed up - so the dance dress gets pulled out! Means I can practice walking in heels
.: I'll get paid!
.: One week till @mp camp!
.: NATE IS A FIREMAN - that's not about this coming week, but it's now and that's JUST as good!

*smiles*
